Flavor Profile: Relatively new to the food world (from the beverages world), matcha as an oatmeal flavor works wonderfully as a sweet or savory breakfast. Each premium blend contains a cup of tea worth of ceremonial grade matcha. With added maple and coconut sugars, the matcha develops a savory creaminess without becoming sweet (you can always sweeten to taste!). The matcha can be quite energizing, so I find it's great before a morning workout or focused session in the office.
Recommended Fresh Fruit and Nut Combos:
- Fresh mango (omg!) or berries for sweet
- Toasted sesame seeds or coconut will draw out the umami.
How do I prepare hot oatmeal or overnight oats?
Overnight Instructions:
- Pour contents into a jar with 3/4 cup of preferred milk.
- Shake vigorously. Let rest for 5 minutes & shake vigorously again.
- Refrigerate for 4+ hours.
- Shake/stir before eating.
Hot Oatmeal:
- Add 1 cup of boiling water.
- Wait 5 minutes. Stir before eating.
